Here we have for sale my escort RS turbo s2. I have owned this car for roughly a year and bought it as a stop gap for having my Mk2RS2000 painted/ rebuild (which is NOT for sale). My mk2 is almost finished so this unfortunately must be sold for garage space.
The car is a Birmingham car which I still have the old style v5 from purchase with lots of receipts and service stamps/ booklet. Also comes with a nice photo booklet of when it was being painted.
I am the currently the fourth owner on the new v5 Document. I have spent some time, effort and money on brakes steering and suspension over the last 5 months. I also replaced the head gasket but wish I have done the valve stem oil seal and hydraulic lifters as it can be a little smokey went started after being left for a long period of time. Once it’s cleared all is good. I have used this as a daily during lockdown and sunny weather to get to and from work for around 2 months.
The car drives very very well and is totally standard apart from the rear exhaust, steering wheel and a boost gauge. The boost gauge I have fitted so it’s not noticeable or in your face like some.
The interior is also in great condition. The car should have electric windows but I have fitted manual windows since buying the car as the drivers motor was very slow then stopped working. I have since sourced both good secondhand motors but haven’t yet fitted them. All the wiring is in the doors ready to be connected and all the switch gear/ grab handles will come with the car. The sunroof works as it should. I also have the original steering wheel.
The underside of the car is NOT patched up and had lots of repairs like most. The original vin number is perfectly visible where it should and matches the V5 (unlike most) I looked a 5 different cars before buying this one.
The car has had welding at some point in its life but it’s been done to a good standard and difficult to find. I am being honest here unlike most adverts.
The paint work on the car is great condition and whoever painted this car has taken the time to do a very good job. The car is currently mot’d and I can put a full year on for the buyer if they wish.
