Built on 24th February 1958 this 100/ 6 is presented in its original colours of Healey Blue Metallic and combines late car performance – thanks to a tuned MkIII engine – with beautiful early car styling.. The car features a original factory hardtop correctly finished in body colour with all wet weather gear including hood and tonneau in Blue Everflex present.
458 YUC has a very pleasing aesthetic with original works side vents, early 100/ 6 bonnet, period correct twin spotlamps, rear bumperettes, factory ‘aluminum’ painted wires and bullet style wingmirrors. Inside the car features a Moto-Lita wooden steering wheel, has auxiliary power ports and interior lighting.
Restored between 2007-9 with just 5, 000 miles since, the car was rebuilt from a bare metal chassis with chemically-dipped panels, the car is finished to a very high quality standard and now features (as well as it’s original power unit provided with the car) a Austin Healey 3000 MKIII BJ8 engine (a very valuable item, rebuilt at the same time) built to high specification road performance with a lightened flywheel, heavy duty clutch, uprated camshaft, new pistons, electronic ignition and HD8 carbs.
Additional upgrades include front disc brakes, uprated suspension and dampers, DWR steering box, an alternator, upgraded cooling, upgraded headlights and safety electrical fuse boxes.
The car is supplied with its original 100/ 6 engine now fully restored and provided on a moveable dolly, photographic documentation of restoration, a heritage certificate of authenticity, a thick paperwork file with excellent documentation of restoration and maintenance and a set of spare keys.
