This beautiful 928 S4 was specified with the utterly fantastic combination of Amazon Green metallic contrasted by Can-can Red interior. What’s more, it has covered just 48k miles from new backed up by an excellent history.
Originally designed to replace the 911, the 928 ultimately carved out its own niche allowing the two models to sit side by side. One the sports car, one the performance biased GT car. From the first models that came off the production line in 1978 the 928 evolved gaining power and equipment. The S4 was launched in 1987 and brought with it a new engine; capacity increased from 4. 7-litres to 5. 0 and with new double overhead camshaft heads that saw output rise to 316BHP.
Supplied new to Japan and first registered in August ’91 by the main dealer in Nagoya, this S4 first came to the UK in 2015 at which point it had covered just 62K km (38. 5k miles). All the service history from Japan comes with the car in its history folder.
In the UK the car has been looked after by a renowned 928 specialist where no expense has been spared ensuring the car remains in excellent order. This work included new Bilstein dampers front and rear, rebuilt brakes, all fluids and filters replaced and the all important cambelt change and water pump replacement.
A further comprehensive service has just been carried out (August 2020) by the same specialist ensuring it’s ready to go for the next owner. All accompanying bills and the receipt for four matching Toyo tyres come in the history file.
Superb condition throughout with excellent bodywork. The underside and engine bay are in exceptional order thanks to living in a kinder climate.
The interior is superb, original order and features the desirable option of extended leather.
A very tight and sorted car on the road thanks to its low mileage and recent works. It’s also a car that combines its dual personality perfectly allowing long distances to be covered at pace and in comfort whilst always feeling very special.
To sum up, this 928 S4 in lovely original condition with a very low mileage and the recent attentions of the model specialist is a rare and desirable thing. With its fabulous colour scheme it is quite a find.
