Aston Martin's Vanquish S is one of the most superbly designed front-engine GTs of all time. This particular 2+2 version has had only 3 owners from new and is without doubt one of the finest examples available today.
The Vanquish is a credit to its creator, Ian Callum, who served as design director for both Aston Martin and Jaguar. And a credit to Aston's management, engineering, and development teams, who so faithfully brought Callum's lines and curves from drawing board to reality.
The Vanquish purposely recalls Aston's DB4 GT Zagato of the early '60s, and there's a bit of Ferrari Daytona in there, too. But it's by no means a copy of anything. To stand in front of it is simply mesmerising. To drive it is much the same!
The Vanquish S debuted at the 2004 Paris Auto Show, with increased power and performance and slight styling revisions. The engine was bored and stroked slightly, increasing displacement to 6. 0 litres, with power increased from 450 to 514 horsepower!
