Lot # 634: 1951 Chevrolet Deluxe Custom Coupe
This 1951 Chevrolet Deluxe is the product of a complete nut-and-bolt restoration that was completed in 2016. It’s powered by a 496ci Chevrolet big-block engine outfitted with a Ron Davis aluminum radiator, backed by a TH400 automatic transmission with a streetable torque converter and a narrows 8-3/ 4” Chrysler rear end with limited-slip center section and 3. 73 gears. The firewall was moved back to accommodate the large engine and Fat Man drop spindles were added to the front for a low-crawling stance. The rear section of the body has been narrowed to allow for wider tires. The exhaust features dual Flowmaster mufflers and H-pipe. The glass is all-new, the original stainless trim was restored, the weatherstripping is new, and all hardware including latches, hinges and handles are original GM equipment. This Chevy is finished in PPG Rodder Gray base coat/ clear coat paint over an all-new interior.
