these incredibly well built cars are beginning to look better and better with age and are starting to get the recognition they deserve as a useable practical classic with bucket loads of nostalgic charm.
finished in the very classy combination of light ivory with a navy cloth interior, a very rare combination for this model.
the car is one of the best examples i’ve ever seen, having had just 3 registered keepers from new (the first 2 being the same person) and just 65912 miles covered since new with a full documented service history complete with almost all paper copy mots from new to validate the low mileage.
it has been waxoyld from the factory which has preserved the car very very well, there is absolutely no corrosion to the underside and the sills/ floors / wheels arches and jacking points are all perfect
it has a very basic specification..... then again, there’s absolutely nothing to go wrong.
the car is beautifully clean throughout having been garaged for the past 13 years and only used on high days and holidays, the paintwork is stunning with a deep and even shine across all panels and all panels are arrow straight and the door shuts are incredibly clean. The chrome is flawless throughout and all rubbers are equally perfect.
the interior is superb and a testament to mercedes quality, there is no wear to any of the seats, the carpets are as new including the boot carpet, the car has never done any household chore work as many of these cars did in their day, the condition of the interior makes that evident. The dash and wood veneer is also perfect with no wear whatsoever.
the engine bay is kept equally as clean with perfect paint on the inner wings, definitely show worthy.
mechanically the car is perfect, it’s recently had a new rear exhaust section and all brakes overhauled to keep the car in tip top condition. It starts first turn of the key and genuinely drives as new with absolutely no play in the steering or suspension. The car is regularly serviced and maintained as necessary.
there are 2 extremely small blemishes on the entire car, if these were rectified i’d be confident to say this could very easily win a show, heck, it may even win one as it is.
the car comes with a rubber boot liner and genuine mercedes factory roof bars.
the car is hpi clear, it comes with a nice history file and 2 keys and is mot’d until november 2020 with no advisories.
in summary this is a beautiful, low mileage example of a desirable classic, by far the most sought after body shape of the w123 range with very low mileage, great history and low ownership. Everything one would search for in a useable investment.
