The 1980s was undoubtedly the golden era of the hot hatch, and the Renault 5 GT Turbo was undoubtedly one of the finest from the decade.
This 1988 Second Generation Phase II facelift model still looks spectacular today and has been very well maintained throughout its life, with the previous owner having invested a large sum to make it what it is today.
Having just undergone a full paint-correction, the black bodywork is excellent and holds a remarkably deep shine. The wheels have just been fully refurbished, too, and all of the correct decals and badges are present.
The retro interior is all original and is in wonderful condition and the leather steering wheel and gear knob have aged beautifully.
The car is still a blast to drive, too! The 1. 4 turbo engine and 5-speed gearbox perform faultlessly, and the suspension and steering are tight and smooth.
There is a large history file accompanying the car which backs up the mileage of 85k miles.
This is a rare and stunning car that looks and drives incredibly well and must be one of the best currently on the market.
