Sonoma Classic |Motorcars is proud to present the 1934 Ford Window Coupe. This is one of the best on the market. Shipping can be arranged. Please contact Marvin for additional images and supporting documents. Below are the details

a. STEERING: The steering box is out of a 1956 Ford F-100 truck. There is
a reason that they call it truck steering. The –F-100 box was used to achieve a
“period build” using a drag-link and pitman arm. If the period correctness is
not essential, a Vega cross steer or a half-rack system would improve ease
of steering at low speeds. At regular road or highway speeds this is not an issue.
b.  ENGINE WATER TEMPERATURE: For normal use the water temperature
remains in the 180 degree range. This car will warm up in parade situations
to the 195-200 degree + range. A radiator shroud would help in
focusing the incoming air through the radiator and across the engine block. There is also
the alternative of installing an electric fan (puller) and removing the mechanical fan.
There are other “non-water” additives that can be used in the radiator to lower
operating temperature. For purposes of street and highway driving and for
driving in and out of shows and events this has not been a problem. Regular usage
includes a mix of one can of water wetter, 1 gallon of coolant with the remainder being
   distilled water.
c.  BRAKES: The front drum brakes and shoes are from a l939 Lincoln. They are self- activating. The front drums are new machinings
from MT-Products (now Boling Brothers). New correct and staggered length and riveted linings were set up
professionally by Jeff Adkins, Moose Motors. Petaluma, CA.
The rear drums and shoes are new, modern 12” Ford. Both front and rear brakes will require periodic, manual adjustment. The
master cylinder is a rebuilt and re-sleeved
single chamber, stock 1940 unit.
d.  DIFFERENTIAL: The unit is a 9” Ford with round face cover over the third member.
The ratio is 3. 50 rr, non-posi.
e.  TRANSMISSION: The transmission is a 4-speed manual taken out of a Chevy
Camaro, Z-28. A Centerforce pressure plate and (clutch) disc were used.
f.  INTERIOR: The bench seat is a “Glide” seat which has a lever on the driver side
to allow the rear cushion to release forward revealing the firewall to the trunk and the stereo unit. On the deck lid in front of the rear window is an on/ off switch, a pouch containing a remote unit and an attachment for computer connections. The remote unit uses a red-laser signal that controls the options of the stereo system. The bottom of the Glide seat folds forward allowing some storage beneath the front seat. The whole Glide seat assembly is adjustable forward. With the chopped roof the headroom is reduced. Drivers over 6’0” will need to check on their head clearance.

There is an electric front windshield wiper motor and outbound stem above the
windshield. The actual wiper arm and blade are in the glove box allowing
the driver / owner to opt for an installed or cosmetically clear choice. Shipping can be arranged.
