Up for sale is my 1972 built UK TR6 with overdrive and original Lucas injection.
The car is complete and running, mileage is what's' shown on the odometer, I cannot verify it but I do have all MoT's acquired since I've owned it. The car is now MoT exempt and Tax free.
Since I have had the car, some 8 years, I've been far and wide in it. It's done a Club Triumph Round Britain Run - 2000 miles non stop. It's been to France with me and to several parts of the UK. It has always brought me home under its own power.
When I bought the car, it had been dry stored for many years by the previous owner so it needed recommissioning and some TLC. I have reconditioned or replaced the following;
Compete clutch including hydraulics.
Overdrive professionally rebuilt.
Brake master cylinder.
Radiator and all hoses.
Injection inlet manifolds, metering unit and injectors.
Springs and Koni shocks on the front suspension.
Springs and uprated lever arm dampers on the rear.
Carpets and most of the interior trim.
Rebuilt seats with new foams under original covers.
Tyres were renewed 2019 and due to building works at home, and then lockdown, they haven't seen the road much.
The hood is in great condition, a little tight but that is the way I like them - as waterproof as any Triumph. The vinyl is clear and the rear windows is the zip out type. There is a black hood bag that will come with the car.
The car is in its factory colour of Mimosa yellow and was restored in the late 1980s before I acquired it.
The car is at my home in Reading, Berkshire, viewing is easily arranged although I do work away so it's by appointment only. The next project is here so I need the space and focus!
