Since taking ownership of this original and very rare Citroen XM, it has been mechanically overhauled at great expense. The car was sent to the well renowned & respected Pleiades Hydraulic Suspension Specialists. The car was gone through meticulously and was fitted with New Spheres all round, Rear Suspension Gaiters & Rods, Power Steering Pump, Cam-belt, Water-pump, Full Service including All Filters, New Hydraulic Fluid, Discs and Pads all round, some welding and under seal treatment, over £1, 500 spent. We have also had all 4 original Slab-Style Alloy Wheels Refurbished, Black Plastics and tired areas of the bodywork refinished. Needless to say, the car drives absolutely faultlessly with bags of power, no shuddering on the steering or brakes and silky smooth Rolls Royce Suspension. You would struggle to find a better 2. 1 Turbo Diesel example to drive! The Interior is of showing signs of age, the extremely comfortable fabric seats and door cards are presentable but worn. The car has a period Stereo Unit that works very well. The Electric Windows, Electric Seats and Electric Mirrors work, the Remote Central Locking Fob works, All Suspension Settings and Sports Setting work. The car still has its Internal Rear Windscreen. All lights on the dashboard illuminate on start up and go out as they should. What doesn't work.... Thankfully a short list! The Sunroof, Heated Seats, Rear Windscreen Washer. The Electrics for the Heated Seats have been removed and the Sunroof Disconnected. Presumably as problematic so best left alone I would have thought. Sunroof doesn't let any water in and is completely watertight. It hasn't been sealed. Overall a fantastic and rare example, mechanically spot on and ready to use. I have covered over 1250 trouble free miles since all the works have been completed. Great opportunity for an enthusiast to improve upon the car internally and as they please. We have also fitted a brand new windscreen to the vehicle. 1000's spent on this recommission.
