With its incredible 4WD system and a flat-four turbocharged engine producing 276bhp, Evo VIs are fast, exciting and offer otherworldly handling; and as a result they have developed a cult following all over the world. Most Evos have been heavily modified or lost to rallying, so to find an original car with exceptionally low miles like this one is near on impossible.
This incredibly low-mileage, stunning Evo VI is the best example we have owned whether from Japan or UK. With just 18, 000 miles (29, 000kms) recorded and a Japanese grade of 4B (though in our opinion it should be a 5) the condition of this Evo VI is immaculate and just as you’d expect it to be. In our expert opinion, the paintwork and bodywork are both original and faultless, all the door surrounds and rubber trims are like new. Inside the car, the interior is spot on with the seats, steering wheel, gearstick, door shuts and all the buttons on the dash showing no signs of wear. Underside, it is the same story. It is clean, tidy and the condition of all components present extremely well. Often Evos suffer from corrosion to the rear chassis and sills, however, this does not have any signs of corrosion and as we can see it has a rust protection coating.
This particular example also benefits from original manuals and full Japanese service history that stack up with the low mileage, going all the way through from 10, 000kms to 28, 000 kms. Also included are export certificates, auction grading sheet, UK registration documents and the current V5 logbook. The car passed an MOT back in March, has been registered with the DVLA and is ready to go. Upon agreeing a sale with a customer we will happily extend the MOT to a full year and as always will give the car a new oil and filter service before it is driven away.
