Our car is a UK-supplied car with a very low mileage. Just 31 Turbo 3. 6’s were supplied to the UK, making it one of the rarest and most sought-after Porsches produced since the fabled 959. This confirms it as a real opportunity for any collector. The 964 Turbo 3. 6 is considered one of the most beautiful 911’s ever to leave the factory in Zuffenhausen.
The 911Turbo is part road car, part thoroughbred racer, that is in a class of its own. The 964 Turbo 3. 6 retained its position as the world’s most coveted supercar. The modified turbocharger and more efficient intercooler, revised air intake and all-electronic fuel injection system improved response right across the rev range, providing impressive acceleration with vast reserves of power.
Driving a 964 Turbo today it is plain to see why their popularity amongst modern classic collectors is growing: it’s an instantly invigorating experience. The flared wheel-arches and fixed rear spoiler on the Turbo add a touch of dramatic menace reminiscent of its predecessors. ABS braking with an improved brake system featuring red painted four-piston fixed calipers made of aluminium, 3-part 18” alloy wheels and standard power steering enhance the whole feeling of the car for the driver.
The 3, 600cc engine delivers 360 hp at 5500 rpm, and torque output is 520 Nm (384 lb/ ft) at 4200 rpm. Acceleration from 0 - 62 mph (100 kph) is achieved in just 4. 8 secs, and maximum speed is 175 mph (281 kph). The dramatic increase in torque from the 3. 6 model translates into much better power development at lower speeds, and a healthy improvement in thrust in the mid rev range.
