One of the last examples to be supplied to the UK market when new and certainly one of the finest remaining in concours condition with just 23, 000 miles from new.
The last owner, an avid Citroen enthusiast looked at many 2CV’s before finding this car. It was exactly what he wanted to find, a low mileage original car that had been well rustproofed from new and carefully used. Removing the under seal revealed a perfect original chassis and bulkhead with original factory numbers and stampings. Only the red body parts required repainting due to slight damage upon removal of under seal, the white painted areas are all original, again an indication of how good and original the car is.
The mechanical elements including the engine have been fully rebuilt and refurbished as required as has the interior and ancillaries. New original equipment parts have been fitted where required including the fabric roof.
The quality of this 2CV throughout has to be seen to be believed and it drives as well as it looks. A great summer classic with so much charisma for such a little car.
