In the fall of 1971, a new version of Volvo's famous 1800 model was unveiled
The new version was called 1800ES
1800ES had increased luggage capacity to, for example, provide extra space for golf or hunting equipment
Below the surface, the technology in the 1800ES was the same as in the other 1800 models
The new version was only produced in two model years namely 1972 and 1973 and only in 8078 copies
The last 1800 ES was built in 1973 and production was discontinued as part of the increasingly stringent safety requirements in the USA which would simply have been too expensive to comply with
This is a really nice 1972 model in the original color Gold metallic
Older but absolutely nice restoration
Here you get an extremely well-running classic car but an almost indestructible engine
