Description
1985 Porsche 911 Carrera Sport Convertible in black with black electric seats. Registered 04/ 01/ 1985, by Motortune Limited, Chelsea, London. Porsche Main Dealer at the time. This is a very usable Porsche 911 with excellent mechanicals and gearbox. The car has recently been re-commissioned at a Porsche specialist with new seat electrics, window mechanisms/ electrics, front oil lines, oil radiator, front and rear refurbished brake callipers, new brake discs, new brake pads, new handbrake shoes, all new brakes hoses, new oil tubes, fully refurbished starter motor, new battery, plus many other trim and consumable items. It also had a full and comprehensive engine service and tune including spark plugs, oil, fuel and air filters using Porsche genuine parts.
The bodywork is in good condition but has the some rust mainly to the font wings and drivers door top trim. I have already sourced a pair of used rust free genuine Porsche front wings which will come with the car. These are hard to get and expensive. The floor pan, chassis, inner wings and battery area are all rust free and in excellent condition.
The convertible roof is brand new with the expensive genuine Sonnenland mohair hood being fitted. Its also comes with a newish tonneau cover.
The interior is all in excellent condition with no tears or rips. The leather seats and carpets are excellent. The door cards with new door bins are also excellent as is the dash. All the dials are working including the clock. All the interior courtesy lights are working including the front boot and rear engine compartment.
The last owner owned the car for the last 16 years, using sparingly and self maintaining during this time. It comes with a fully stamped service book prior to his owner. It comes with many invoices in his ownership for servicing and repairs including a new clutch and recent new complete dansk exhaust system including stainless steel headers. It also comes with his sales receipt back in April 2005 all the original owners manuals, handbooks and tool kit. The car has just gone through an MoT with no advisories, a credit to all the work undertaken in the last year which amounts to some £7k of spend. The car drives exceptionally will make a lovely desirable Porsche with some paint rectification.
I have spent thousands of pounds in the last year in commissioning and parts. It was my intention to keep this myself however space and time constraints means I’m reluctantly selling the car. Having owned many, many older 911’s this is a very sound Porsche and will make a lovely car which will only go up in value. Bargain at this price.
