If you are here then you probably know what this is, something rather special.
The GTV has an illustrious pedigree: Designed by Enrico Fumia at Pininfarina, interior by Walter DaSilva, that glorious V6 engine by Guiseppe Busso, Chief engineer Bruno Cena (he won engineer of the year award 1995 for the GTV and spider) and some very clever multi-link passive steering rear suspension courtesy of Gianclaudio Travaglio. The ‘Serie Limitata’ Cups were a limited edition inspired by the mono-make Alfa GTV Cup race series in Italy. 155 RHD cup models were made for the UK, all V6's in Alfa Red, distinguished by a sterling silver plaque on the dashboard. Mechanical
The 3. 0 V6 Busso engine is presented immaculately, having been the subject of a £3, 300. 00 restoration by specialist firm NJS Alfa Romeo in September 2020. The picture of the engine bay speaks for the quality of the work and the comprehensive list of work undertaken will give peace of mind to any buyer.
Prior to my acquisition the car was comprehensively recommissioned, including paint refurbishment, suspension poly-bushed, stainless steel exhaust, new battery, brake overhaul, Q2 diff, new Pirelli tyres and wheels refurbished.
The stainless exhaust has been kept subtle matching the OEM style single outlet, it sounds absolutely fantastic (but quiet enough for long journeys).
Equipment/ Interior
The full Cup interior is excellent original condition, consisting of:
* Half leather sports seats with unique check cloth centres
* Unique 'Cup' design headlining
* Sterling silver Serie Limitata dash plaque (No. 139)
The Momo half-leather interior is all in good order, with no rips or tears and the seat bolsters are all good (these have been treated and refurbished). Everything works including the original electric aerial, windows and air con.
4 keys (including the important master key) and original ID card.
The stereo has been upgraded with an Alpine DAB/ Bluetooth radio (screen colour matched to dashboard lights).
Exterior
Cup body kit which includes:
* Front splitter
* Sill covers
* Rear spoiler
* Vented front wings
* Rear Cup badging
The car looks amazing with excellent paintwork, bright and unfaded, in glorious Rosso Red. Perhaps one or two minor stone chips etc, commensurate with age/ use that do not detract from the stunning overall look. Absolutely no lacquer peel or faded paint. Prior to my ownership the paintwork was detailed and the wheels were refurbished and since my ownership I have had paint protection professionally applied.
The underside of the vehicle has been treated with Dinotrol preservative by specialist firm Pure Car Management.
History
MOT until 15th July 2022.
The car has covered 109k miles with full (obsessive!) service history and a thick file of receipts for work done by specialists. This car has wanted for nothing throughout its life.
Cambelt/ tensioner/ water pump changed alongside the engine restoration in 2020.
Alfa wallet complete with original handbooks, manuals, security information etc.
Summary
A brilliant, honest, example of one of the few GTV Cup's left.
Cup No. 139 has been a popular sight at many car shows and always draws admiring glances. The car has been given a recent valuation of £15, 000. 00 for my agreed value car insurance policy.
