Description

Selling my 1998 R reg xjr in classic British racing green due to the loss of the garage the car was in. Great car, Cheap classic car insurance £190 per year.
The car is mot until April 2022 with no advisory. In my ownership the car has been serviced when it gets mot no matter the mileage. comes with lots of paperwork and past mots and some service history.
The car comes with all the xjr bits. I. e. 6 stack Cd player, electric window/ seats/ mirrors, heated windscreen, rear sun visor, memory pack, etc. As this was the flagship model at the time

Bits. I have done since owning the car:
New headlining and new (used) arm rest due to split in leather.(old one is in the boot and will go with the car) new tyres all around, new brakes all around and front discs, new led third brake. New speed sensor all around, new belts and pully tensioner and tensioner wheel, new battery.

Bad bits:
The car has a intermittent abs light issue this is a new issue probably due to lack of being used. I have change all the 4 speed sensors on the car and have cleaned the the area around them but it looks like its a issue around the pump area but this could be a simple issue with the circuit board solder has failed and needs resoldering. If the pump is a issue reconditions pumps are on ebay and are only a few hundred pounds. But the car still drives fine with this intermittent issue. (UPDATE: I have had the car put on to a OBD scanner and its saying its a pump issue so i have reduced the price by £250 to pay for a new pump if needed but i haven't removed the pump to see if electric box needs to be soldered so cold just be that issue which is a common fault)

The main issue is the paint that is why i have put this car as a project. My friend and garage i was storing the car at offered to paint the car due to faded paint. But he has ruined the paint. The paint has had a reaction and looks like it's split and needs to be sanded back and repainting. I did try and start sanding the body work but i seam to always have the weather against me plus time to do it and lack of a garage doesn't help. I don't want the car just to sit here until i get time to do it. I would rather sell it taking a loss on what i have spent rather than have it sit here and not be used as it should be.

The badges and mud flaps were removed when the car was painted but i haven't put these back on(very simple) due to the issues with the paint they will be in the boot of the car when sold.

These car are only going up in value some are already in the 10k bracket so with a paint job this car will not be far off that price in my opinion.
