At that time, this type of Opel was called a “Shark Beak”, because of the characteristic chrome parts that are part of the grill at the front. A big nod from Opel to the American cars that were often richly equipped with these kinds of chrome parts.
This Opel is a real "survivor" once repainted in the distant past and bursting with positive patina.
The year of manufacture is 30-06-1954 and has a Dutch registration since 21-07-1990. The odometer reading is 46909 km.
As mentioned, the body has been repainted once, but in any case neat no rust. Chrome very nice, especially the bumpers.
The interior is completely original and in good condition, not broken or torn and hardly any wear.
The floor mats are also the original ones, the dashboard is in undamaged original condition with all control buttons. The steering wheel is barely held and Christoffel rides along.
The headliner in the car is neat and not broken and has hardly any sign of aging. Window and locks are good. The top-hung windows on the side can also be opened and closed well. The ignition key is present, the door key is not.
The engine really runs as it should with that typical Opel engine sound, the carburettor has been overhauled and ultrasonically cleaned. The gearbox is also good.
