Rare 72 gran torino sport, 1 year only model, 400 cu in , auto, this torino when ordered new, came with a large spec. Having full electric windows, rare heated rear window, 4 speaker fm radio, a/ c, p/ steering, p/ disc front brakes, the heavy duty c6 transmission and the infamous ford 9" axle which was standard on the 400 and 429 cars & running the h/ d suspension.
the 400 engine is renown for being super tourquey, pulling from idle with great ease. The engine is currently running a edlebrock performer i/ manifold with d/ p holley, making it a real grunty engine and sounds just like a v8 should, with the replacement exhaust, the original carb & manifold comes with the car.
The wheels have been replaced with 17" american racing rims and it has been slightly lowered to give it an super stance with new shocks.
the car is in fantastic condition and being an Original CALIFORNIA car has no corrosion or welding, the chassis and floors are mint and the interior is in great condition with velour / vinyl trim.
In 72 ford redesigned the gran torino to a body on chassis design with rear coil springs, giving it a much quieter and smoother ride and this car certaintly does that. The car is very straight and clean but not perfect comes with FORD MARTI report,
