The Fiat 500 model D that we offer here is in impeccable condition. It was delivered new on 02-10-1964 by Auto company CARULLI in the city of CREMONA ITALY. A car company that still exists since 1905.
This Fiat is the model with the characteristic inverted doors (until 1965) and was registered in the Netherlands on 29-09-1999. The low windshield, the suicide doors, the reclining rear lights distinguish themselves from the later models.
The Fiat has been repainted once in the past, the paint is in excellent condition without rust or dents. The interior has not been restored (read: paintwork) and is in a wonderfully patinated condition. The chrome is without exception perfect and the moldings are without damage. The floor plate looks like it is still the first fitted on the inside with the original rubber mats. The interior is light beige and is in mint condition with no discolorations or tears. The front seats each have a lap belt.
The Fiat is equipped with an original 500 D engine which was completely overhauled a few thousand kilometers ago, and it runs fine. The gearbox is not synchronized and can be shifted smoothly.
There are 2 exterior mirrors in chrome, and there is an original luggage rack with matching case.
All in all a beautiful Fiat 500 that, despite a light restoration, still carries the atmosphere of originality.
