motodrome are pleased to offer GB103, an unrestored and very original 1998 Land Rover Defender 50th Anniversary 4. 0 V8, as usual finished in Atlantis Metallic.
50ths are fitted as standard with automatic transmission, anti-roll bars, air conditioning, factory Safari rollcage, cubbybox, deleted rear bulkhead, NAS rear step, full-length chrome sidesteps, and pewter alloy wheels (shod with BFG all-terrains) all of which this retains.
It’s further fitted with stainless exhaust, mudflaps all round, stainless steel bolt kit, and the original, and hard to find stereo, plus the original steering wheel..
Shortly after taking delivery in 1998, the original owner sent it to Overfinch, for fitting of their ‘engine performance upgrade’ kit and ‘performance gearing conversion’, and 23 years on it still feels much more lively than a standard example.
This one comes with superb provenance and history - odometer reading now 113000 miles in the hands of just 4 previous keepers (we supplied it to the last owner in late 2020) supported by superb history including the original sales invoice, a large service printout, and a large folder of bills and old MOT’s etc. We even have the original Land Rover 50th anniversary promotional catalogue etc, plus correspondence between the first owner and Land Rover about the forthcoming new model in 1998, which I’ve only ever seen once before with a 50th.
At some point it was fitted with an LPG kit, however a specialist professionally removed the system in 2019.
The last owner has spent nearly £2000. 00 on improvements and upkeep over the past year, including full service , new tailgate [ including heated glass, door card and spare wheel bracket] , new door hinges all round , ss screw set all round , full exhaust system including cats , 4 x bf goodrich tyres , all the rear lights and rear mud flaps replaced etc.
As it currently has MOT to February 2022, we’ll be supplying a new 12M MOT on sale, and 6 months warranty too. .
