1965 Panama Beige Beetle LHD
Highly original, unrestored and unmolested, completely stock car. Original matching numbers engine, chassis, gearbox. All original body panels. Amazingly preserved interior, and exterior is still in mostly original paint.
Drives and rides beautifully. Silky smooth and precise gear changes, tight steering, and absorbs any bumps with ease thanks to the recent new shock absorbers all round and king and link pins up front.
No expense has been spared in maintaining this little gem, and there is a significant history file to back this up. It was imported from Finland about 5 years ago, where it was registered from new. I have the original 1965 registration with chassis and engine number details. There is a comprehensive history including details of the first owner who owned the vehicle for 30 years. It also spent some time in a museum (certification from Museum in Finland)
There is the odd mark and age related scratches (so it is not perfect) but is probably one of the most honest cars you will see, and it does not detract from its great looks.
Definitely a car for the purist, so if you are serious about the pleasure derived from driving and owning a rare original untouched car, then this is the right car for you.
I am a serious VW collector and want to buy an early Karmann Ghia, so this great car has to go to make room for another one.
