I am reluctantly selling my Citroen GSA Club.
Registered in 1980, this is one of the earliest GSA models, painted in AC333 Jaune Mimosa (this colour was only offered for one year).
The car is a rare model-year cross over-between the Citroen GS and it’s face-lifted replacement the GSA, possessing the external appearance of a GSA (Plastic bumpers and hatch), but the conventional dashboard and switches of a GS.
I bought the car in 2016 having been off the road for a number of years. It was delivered straight to renowned Citroen Specialists Chevronics and given a full body restoration (including respray in original colour) and full engine overhaul. The car has had over £15k spent on it in my 5 years of ownership, during which I’ve covered only 4. 5k miles. A full new exhaust was fitted in 2021.
Anyone who knows these cars will know how advanced they were for their time. The magic carpet ride suspension works just as it should, and the 1299cc air-cooled engine with a 5 speed gearbox is very capable even up against modern traffic.
Due to loss of storage, the timing is right to pass the car on to a new custodian who can enjoy it, and preserve its’ condition for the future. The car isn’t Brand New, but is a solid example which wouldn’t take much to make it show room condition.
As the car is now over 40 years old, it has the benefit of being both MOT and Road Tax exempt.
