Lotus Europa S2 rolling chassis, standard original. No body shell or V5...
Correct original S2 chassis from a low mileage 1969 Lotus Europa S2, taken off the road 1990 then dry stored,
straight and without any accident damage.
Stripped, cleaned and reconditioned. Additional unobtrusive strengthening has been added to the weak points,
where the T and Y sections meet the backbone.
No internal corrosion. 3 primer coats finished off in 2k gloss.
Includes rear cross brace which has had the same treatment.
All ready to build up from.
This is a great project to build up to a rolling chassis and then a body and V5 could be purchased to complete,
(Lotus use the body for the V5 id, not the chassis).
Or maybe you have a resto Europa already and this is a great starting point for you to then add the body too...
With any Europa restoration you start with the chassis.
The chassis and all of the below components are from the same low mileage S2 Europa.
That particular car is being restored with Spyder components to which these are surplus to requirements.
Included is
S2 Chassis.
Crossmember.
336 4 speed gearbox and rods to gearbox but no linkage (available from Banks Europa / SJ Sportscars etc).
Selects gears fine and splines turn smoothly. Brackets and mount included.
Original 697 Lotus Europa engine, taken apart for rebuild but no issues found, complete.
Original 336 clutch plate and clutch as shown in the original manual.
Original starter motor, SEV alternator.
Fuel pump.
Original manifold and carb, with a K&N filter.
Correct offset period 13" wheels, Superslot / Alleycat / Wolfrace style x4 with used tyres.
Rear suspension assemblies, all smooth and turning freely, incredibly expensive new!
Bare metalled throughout, paint and fit. Good splines, rear brakes included.
Suspension arm bushes to chassis.
Front suspension assemblies, complete as original but no suspension arms (available from Banks, Kelvdon or SJ Sportscars).
Steering column, steering wheel, stalks, cowels, with steering wheel boss, lock nut, steering wheel. No steering rack but they are Spitfire with extended track rods, £30 used...
Brake callipers and associated parts, hubs, pads.
Rare original Girling brake servo.
Choke cable and bracket as original, handbrake cable to suit an MGB brake handle conversion.
Swirl pot for repair with rare brass heater valve, plus new hose with internal thermostat.
Both pulleys and water pump, belt.
Everything in the photos is included, but there is nothing else included in the package.
No bodyshell or V5 or front suspension arms, gearstick linkage etc though it is largely a full on rolling chassis.

Excellent rewarding project, these cars are 20k plus restored and increasingly rare.
New body shells are available from Banks Europa. no IVA is required.
