Citroen GSA 1984 “Le Chic” 1299cc LHD
For sale is my Citroen GSA. Current odometer reading is 143, 948kms (~90, 000miles). It has 6 months MOT left (due 2nd September 2022). I bought the car about 5 years ago and have done a lot of mechanical work to keep it on the road. The car is mechanically sound and has almost no rust, floorpans solid. Bodywork has some minor dings which is to be expected given the age. The suspension is in good working order with the “magic carpet” Citroen ride quality.
The reason for sale is I simply don’t have the time to devote to keeping the car on the road (I have a couple of other Citroens).
Good points:
Replaced driveshafts
Replaced front brake discs & front brake pads (main brake and handbrake)
Top N/ S suspension arm replaced
Fluid blocs replaced N/ S lower suspension arm replaced
Timing belts changed at 130, 000km
Clutch replaced at around 120, 000km
New alternator
New starter motor
New spheres all round including accumulator (comfort spheres on the front)
New tyres (Nankang 145/ 15R all round)
New rear silencer on exhaust
Oil & filter changes at recommended frequency
Started to waxoyl the underside/ sills/ door bottoms etc. – not complete though
Headlights replaced with UK spec (when I got the car it still had the original French headlights with plastic adjusters on the front).
The exhaust needs attention particularly the centre section (I have a used centre section from another GSA which I will include in the sale).
The offside front wing has some rust (I will include a replacement wing in the sale).
