This RHD Jaguar E-Type Series II FHC has spent the most of its life in Australia and has been with the same owner for 22 years. The Jaguar was purchased in 2000 by its most recent owner and on his return to the UK in 2018, he imported the car into the UK. Over the past 22 years the E-Type has covered almost 10, 000 miles taking its recorded mileage to little over 86, 000.
We can confirm that after arrival in the UK the E-Type was inspected by the Technical Director for the Jaguar Enthusiast Club, Ken Jenkins. It has been confirmed the E-Type was manufactured in late 1968 and all the components indicate this is a correct, very original car. The engine and gearbox are from the correct period and all the ancillary components, many of which carry manufacturing dates, originate from 1968 demonstrating what a correct car this is.
Since arriving back in the UK its long-term owner has had the interior re-trimmed, and work to the car includes a new steering rack mount, upper and lower ball joint kits and regular servicing. Having passed its last MOT with several minor mechanical advisories, on sale we will be putting the E-Type through our workshop for a full service, various light mechanical upkeep and then supplying the car with an advisory free MOT.
The 4. 2 six cylinder engine is in excellent condition with healthy oil pressure and offers excellent performance. The four speed all syncromesh gearbox is lovely and smooth and the car is impressive on the road with correct cooling and an excellent road holding. Cosmetically ABW 909F is very nice, the bodyshell is structurally excellent, the underside superb having the benefit of an excellent climate for most of its life. The paint finish is of a very high standard, chrome work is lovely throughout and the interior trim fresh and very smart. The engine bay is well presented, and we are happy to re-paint the engine bay space frame and bulk head if required within the price.
This is an excellent value E-Type Series II FHC ideal for regular use and will come prepared and ready to enjoy without any major expense.
