2001 MGF 1. 8i Freestyle. Tahiti Blue with black leather upholstery. The MGF Freestyle (Autumn, 2001) was the last swan-song of the 'original' MGF before its radically face lifted replacement arrived in February 2002. Equipped with the cosmetic up grades already found on the MGF Trophy 160, the Freestyle thus came fitted with a rear spoiler, front bib spoiler, chrome exhaust finishers, bright chrome front and side grille mesh, leather sports seats, alloy gear knob, alloy gear knob surround, alloy inserts in side door casings. Supplied new by MG Rover dealer Swindon Automobiles on 7th December 2001. This car has been in the careful ownership of an ex Abingdon MG engineer and the car can only be described as a time warp example in outstanding condition. Having covered just 33, 000 miles from new and with a comprehensive service history with 12 stamps in the book and the head gasket, cam belt and water pump replaced at 28, 000 miles. Most recent work includes new front brake pads, vented discs, new battery and a brand new hood fitted in 2021 and last serviced less than 1, 000 miles ago. The car comes complete with all of its original handbooks and leather wallet as well as two sets of keys and fobs, radio code, key code and emergency access code also present. The MG also had the option of power steering fitted when new making this a fantastic driving experience. We can not speak highly enough of this car and it is easily the best MGF we have had the pleasure of owning and a real credit to its last owner.
