A stunning, early Vauxhall Astra GTE with the 1. 8 engine and the early interior. With just 75, 329 miles since new, this lovely GTE is ready to be used and enjoyed. This car is being sold on behalf of a very good customer and friend of ours and has just been released from a very impressive private collection.
Good examples of these early GTE's are very difficult to find now. The polar white paintwork is excellent across all panels and the rear arches are superb and with zero rust. Front headlights, indicators and rear lenses are nice and clear and crack free. The deep front and rear bumpers are damage and scuff free and all the black vinyl door and tailgate decals are excellent. This is a rust free example and it presents lovely.
The interior looks superb and the famous digital dashboard display is in full working order and all pixels are crystal clear. The front sports seats are stunning. The bolsters are perfectly shaped and firm and all the seats have just been professionally refurbished using the original cloth They look like brand new and have got zero stretching to the cloth. The head lining has again just been professionally re-clothed and is superb. Carpets are excellent. Only light markings can be found on the door handles and these do not detract from what is a truly stunning interior!
The original wheel trims have just been professionally refurbished and new tyres are fitted all round.
Mechanically, it has just benefitted from a full and extensive service which included all belts and fluids, plugs etc and it runs and drives superbly. It performs exactly as it should and the gearbox is smooth and precise. The engine bay presents very nicely and is free from any leaks.
This really is a lovely, rare example and would certainly present very well on the classic show circuit.
