This Morgan Plus 8 was first registered on the 25th November 1980 to its first owner, who kept the car until 16th February 2001 when the current owner acquired it. Records show that during the 1990s this Plus 8 covered just 400 miles and was stored for much of this period. The current owner bought the car with 13, 151 miles recorded, its mileage is now showing is 36, 112 which is supported by service history and MOT certificates from over the years.
The bodywork is mainly original, but has had some repairs and paint work done over the years. In places the paintwork has lost some of its lustre, has a few marks and is a little tired in places. The alloy wheels, chrome work and bumpers are all in good condition. Internally the black leather is clean and undamaged with a patina consistent with the cars age.
The car comes with a large number of receipts for work carried out since 2001, by the current owner. There is also a record of the work done each year, which has included regular oil and filter changes. The car has benefited over the years from a number of upgrades including the fitting of a Gemma steering box, Spax front shock absorbers, Panhard Rod and Adjustable rear absorbers.
It is unusual to find a 42 year old Morgan Plus 8 with such a low mileage and just two long term owners from new. Mechanically the car is sound but would benefit in time with some investment to improve the paintwork. The car is priced to reflect this.
