Beautiful 1968 VW Karmann Ghia coupe, LHD, in her original, one-year-only Regatta Blue colour.

No expense spared, fully documented, body-off restoration and professional respray to take her back to her original 60s stock. The flawless lines of a beautiful Italian-designed and hand-crafted body, twinned with VW’s practical chassis and simple-to-maintain engine.

Imported from Bakersfield, California – the driest state of them all – this lovely coupe had been kept on a US air-force base and driven regularly. Arrived with with great bodywork and sound mechanics.

1500 cc engine – was ticking over ok but now runs really smoothly and starts on the button.

Anti-stone chip paint to underside and wheel arches. Sound deadened throughout for a quieter, more comfortable ride.

I have left the towel rail bumpers with their beautiful patina including trace of the cool, original USAF stickers. Couldn’t bring myself to strip and sort them. They look great.

Comes with 2 keys,, plenty of receipts and comprehensive photos of the restoration work, plus her birth certificate from the VW automuseum in Wolfsburg.

As an added bonus, she comes complete with the original, full-colour sales brochure from 1968.

She is in incredible condition throughout with fully documented / photographed files of the many hours of work carried out and parts receipts.

Garaged and well looked after by a serial VW air-cooled fanatic. Will have a full service and garage check over prior to sale. Selling as this project is now complete. This car is in absolutely fantastic condition and ready to go and drive.

A usable classic which will turn heads for another 50 years. Starts and runs beautifully.
