Re patriated from South Africa in 2018 the car is rust free both in body and chassis, the latter being truly outstanding.
Oil pressure also is excellent and the car pulls well from very low r. p. m. It’s right hand gear change adding to the period experience.
Not the best handling of cars, in extremis, but progress is , nevertheless swift, once you’ve got the hang of it and it is beautiful to look at!
The car is extremely sound where it matters but would benefit from a range of small improvements including door rubbers , re varnishing of wooden interior trim and general detailing under the bonnet. A new windscreen would also help if a small crack troubled you.
All in all a striking example of a once great marque.
