Rare modern classic 4x4 2. 5 TD Automatic 1993 L300 Super Exceed with crystalline and sun roof that was imported from Japan in 2002. It has had a basic campervan conversion.
Selling as its not being used after moving house and the person who did a lot of the work on it no longer lives nearby (we are not mechanical).
Since we've owned it has had extensive work carried out on it. This includes a full engine rebuild within its last 2k miles (receipts to prove in pictures) thus it has a new cylinder head, timing kit and all new ancillaries including power steering pipes and radiator recore. Its also had all front running gear rebuilt within the last 4 years, this includes brake disc pads, callipers and hoses. It has 2x new BF Goodrich tyres on the back. It has also had an aftermarket engine coolant temp sensor and alarm fitted, so no danger of overheating issues along with an engine exhaust gas EGT temp sensor and has a 2. 5 inch exhaust fitted with EGR delete. It has an MOT until December 2022 (advisories picture attached) and drives well (can provide videos of the engine running etc).
The chassis and body of the van are in very good condition for its age, there are no rust holes and the sills are original. It has been wax oiled a couple of times since we’ve owned it. The rear windows have been professionally tinted. The van has a quality full split charge system complete with a Sterling Pro Batt Ultra battery to battery charger and a Krieger 1500W inverter, this means the user has access to mains power in the back of the van; the leisure battery recharges when the van is running. The front seats and centre console have been professionally upholstered in 2 tone vinyl. The van has also had a basic DIY camper conversion with rock n roll vinyl bed setup and Altro safety vinyl flooring.
Main bad points of van are the general finish, it would benefit from being stripped back a bit inside to give it a more professional look. The AC and much of the original trim have been stripped out at some point; so it’s a bit patchy inside. The van currently has a push button glow plug system. The 4X4 is not showing as being engaging on the dash in the cabin; but it is working. The external paint is generally good but it has age related dings and blemishes.
