A pleasant and honest Rolls Royce with its original H. J. Mulliner & Co. coachwork from 1928. A well-preserved vehicle which has a lovely patina and is in superb running order and with a traceable early background.
This example, described as a Weymann Saloon, was built in 1928 and was displayed at the Olympia Show in July/ August 1929. Through Mulliner/ John Croal & Sons, the car was sold during (or right after) the show by Jack Barclay Ltd. to Laddie Cliff of London. At this point, it was bearing the UK registration number UV 1922 which it retained until it later left the country.
The records say that, on 22nd of December 1931, it was sold to Princes House, London. It was sold again in 1932 to a private individual before later being sold on to The Empire Charcoal Co. in 1941.
After a bit of a gap in the records, we know that the car was sold to Holland in 1962 after being bought by E. C. J. F Keiner. It was at this point that it lost its UK registration number, and it has been in Europe ever since.
It is a pleasure to have this stunning car in our showroom. It is a pleasure to drive, it runs smoothly, and everything does what it should. Although not perfect, the interior really tells a story; the upholstery is in generally good condition and has weathered nicely. The exterior is in a similar condition to the interior, it is used but certainly presentable.
Included in the sale are copies of the original Rolls Royce Papers (order form, specification sheets etc).
An overall pleasant, usable classic Rolls Royce 20hp.
