A firm favourite on the classic scene offering spacious five-seater motoring with practical dimensions, the Rover P4 easily fits in a standard single garage. With overdrive on this particular car, their wonderfully smooth gearbox and relatively light steering P4’s are a joy to experience. Cherished early ownership resulted in this example being retained by a Rover main agent in the 1990’s as a showroom centrepiece proudly boasting the manufacturer’s heritage. They eventually retailed it to the penultimate owner who kept it for around 20 years until we bought it directly from the family. Then we sold it to the last owner 8 years ago who has continued to use the car carefully and sparingly with just 26, 000 recorded and believed genuine from new. Very few Rover P4’s exist with such a degree of unmolested originality and the interior is like a journey back to the 1960’s. The paintwork is lovely, the chrome outstanding. Under the engine bay and in the boot, this Rover is equally genuine. Finished in Jet Black with Cherry-Red Hide and a rare survivor with original carpets.
