Very rare, the estate car that made estates cool.
Pininfarina styled, an iconic car, something very different, powerful 90bhp from the legendary 1. 5 coupled to 5 speed manual with selectable 4x4.
Selling on behalf of a friend, reluctant sale due to relocation abroad.
My friend has owned this car for 4 years, I have maintained it for him.
Huge original history file, this car has been loved by every owner, garaged and well maintained.
For the last 4 years it has been used at weekends/ high days and has been maintained and improved upon as a regular useable classic.
Mot to 22 March 2023, exempt in another 2 years.
Just had 4 new tyres, steering rack overhaul and new track rod ends, new shock absorbers all round, the fronts are the strut type and were sourced from Italy.
The cambelts were done a couple of years ago along with a new waterpump, clutch hydraulic cylinders were also done, regular servicing, brakes etc.
Having been garaged pretty much all its life it is still in amazing condition, it is very solid, but does have age related marks as you would expect.
It has been regularly waxoyled.
Theres always room for improvement, the car has been used as a driveable, regular classic and enjoyed.
The car retains nice details like original dealer number plates, rear window sticker, dealer key ring, original stereo, paperwork etc, the tools and spare are still in the boot.
The alloys as near perfect original, no scuffs. Interior is very good, there is a set of good car cover seats which help keep the originals in good order.
Its not the easiest to place, i have never seen another, the 4x4 sportwagon is not the standard saloon, it is unique.
There is a pretty comprehensive set of spares inc a very rare 4x4 gearbox, original spare exhausts, complete service kit etc.
The car shares many components with the alfasud and saloon 33, most of the wearing parts are very readily available, as are race modified/ uprated suspension set ups, this car however is still factory and unmolested.
A very good basis to make a really special conservation and or use as is.
