A beautifully preserved and original example being formerly owned by one family since new. Delivered to the family home in Finchley, North London by Stratstone, Mayfair on the 22nd September 1964 and supplied by distributor’s Sanderson & Holmes LTD, London Road, Derby.
Finished in arguably one of the most desired colour schemes, Opalescent Gunmetal with Red Leather, the colour combination featuring in the original Sales Catalogue.
The Daimler was in regular use and carefully garaged up until the owner’s retirement from driving in 1988. The mileage covered up to this time being a little under 69, 000 miles. For a further 8 years it was carefully garaged then retired to the son’s home in Dorset.
For the past 26 years, it has been carefully maintained, correctly stored, and loved by the family who used the Daimler for various special family occasions and frequently attended local Jaguar Enthusiast Club events, it has covered a little over 3, 000 miles during this time.
In 2004, the Daimler was treated to a high quality respray of both sides, the bonnet, roof, and boot lid remain the original one stage aluminumized cellulose finish, the condition and originality of all the panels is quite exceptional. Equally, the chrome is completely original and in excellent condition and the interior is a very special place indeed.
There is an impressively large vehicle history file (Even down to the first original tax disc issued) and an exceptionally good MOT record. A new MOT will be issued prior to delivery, confidently with no advisories.
