First off, let me say I'm not even sure if I'm doing the right thing.
I bought this Volcane to replace a red one that wasn't so good, it was imported from Jersey so needed to go through the whole NOVA and VAT palaver, then it was MOT'D here in a government MOT centre.
So this is a 1994 car, first registered in Southampton then subsequently imported to Jersey. Being 1994, has no airbag, no dash stripe and the keypad immobiliser. Its a well specced car, fitted with ABS, leather seats and air conditioning (although not cold - I could say it needs a regas but I don't actually know, so I'll say NOT COLD!). It appears original, wheels are correct, tow eye covers still intact, stripes aren't great, some cracks and fading.
I've had a replacement rear exhaust section fitted, although with a round tailpipe, genuine rear NOS mudflaps. There are some dents, paint chips and general wear and aging commensurate with being 28 years old, the underbonnet area is quite tatty but wasn't mentioned by the MOT tester. I would say its a "survivor car" rather than a show car but certainly not on its last legs. Sunroof tilts but does not slide (common fault) and fuel gauge is a bit "wandery", a new sender unit will cure this.
Fitted with a full set of Goodyear Duragrip 185/ 60 14 tyres as per factory specification. Originally failed needing rear passive steer bushes. I put sub 200 miles on it in the first 3 years I owned it.
It was MOT'D again this year and passed with no advisories or items of note, although I did have a small area under the power steering bottle patched and painted.
MOT'D by Driver and Vehicle Agency 11/ 4/ 22 at 52292 miles.
