1997 Jaguar XK8 4. 0 A car we know extremely well having bought it from the first owner in 2006 with full Stratstone history. A replacement gearbox was fitted (at 35, 000 miles) by the Jaguar main dealer Spirit in Dublin. Sold on by us to the second owner, maintenance could hardly be more comprehensive with the car being serviced annually by Marshall Jaguar, Peterborough. HA Fox Jaguar upgraded timing chains and tensioners in around 2013 as factory recommended. Taking the car back in part exchange in 2019 this already exceptional car received added refurbishments via ourselves at the request of the last owner prior to delivery: 18” wheels were refurbished (Pirelli tyres), new windscreen, new badges, window frames re-painted, bumpers repainted, engine detailing, specialist leather rejuvenation etc. All in all, a standard of presentation was achieved for an enthusiast’s pleasure that was unjustifiable commercially. Finished in Ice Blue with Cream Hide, it is unusual to find the earliest XK8 design in such condition and the new owner can reap the benefit of this fastidiously maintained and show presented example. The current mileage is 65, 000 from new.
