In early 2002, BMW announced that their 3 Series range would increase with the addition of a new model - the 330Ci Clubsport. Powered by BMW's 3. 0 litre 231 bhp straight six engine, the Clubsport would place emphasis on sportiness and driving dynamics, sitting neatly between the 330Ci Sport model and the now legendary M3.
Easily distinguished by a distinctive new rear 'M' spoiler, other exterior additions include sports suspension settings and exclusive 18 inch double spoke split rim alloy wheels. Acoustics have also undergone a change - with 20kgs of insulation
material removed to increase the engine note. The interior reflects the sporty character of the exterior. Leather sports seats, shortened 'M' gear lever, door sill with 'Clubsport' model designation and special silver aluminium cubed interior trim are fitted as standard.
The 3 Series Clubsport Coupé was available in three colours - Titanium silver, Estoril blue and Velvet blue.
Only 600 cars were built, most of which are either Estoril Blue or Silver.
This particular example is a very rare car. BMW built 6 Clubsports in Carbon Black, 3 manual and 3 auto. This is 1 of the 3 manual cars. This one is also very highly specified and comes with Harmon Kardon Sound System, Electric Seats with 3 Position Memory on the Drivers Side, Front and Rear Parking Sensors, 18" Alloys, in addition to a Full Leather Interior with Sport Seats, Climate Control Air Con, Cruise Control, Electric Windows and Mirrors, Remote Central Locking, Clubsport Bodykit with Rear Spoiler and Front Splitters etc, Stereo/ CD, Multi Function Steering Wheel, Multi Airbags, ABS, Traction Control, Alarm + Immobiliser. The car also comes with all handbooks and 2 sets of keys. It is triple black with Carbon black paint work, black leather and black headlining.
The car is in full and excellent working order, with no known faults, and the service history is full and up to date with all old MOTs are present. New Goodyear tyres were fitted in May 2022.
The overall condition of the car is excellent. The alloy wheels have been split, stripped and refurbished. The front end has been re-sprayed as it had numerous stone chips. The car has been paint corrected and ceramic coated.
