For sale here is a 1975 Morgan +8 Roadster finished in Royal Ivory with Masons Black, Black leather interior with reclining seats, seat belts and full tonneau cover. Complete with Black soft top, side screens and boot rack. The original light alloy wheels have been finished in gloss black powder coat. A stunning car that goes like the clappers. Only 3 owners from new. Phoenix Motors of Woodbury Exeter took the order for the Morgan from Mr. Kay at the 1973 motor show for the princely price of £2, 162. 86, Morgans order books were as full back then as they are today as Mr. Kay didn't receive his new car until March 1975 were upon Phoenix and Morgan regrettably had to inform him of the price increase to £2, 894. 67 plus VAT etc with a total price of £3, 198. 44, quite an increase.
Mr Kay kept the car until he passed it on to his son, so it was in the family from new (1975) until the last chap a Mr Ryan bought it in 2022. Mr Ryan only kept the car for a very short while as he moved to the Isle of Man and had always had his heart set on owning a Triumph TR3 which he subsequently traded the Morgan in for to ourselves.
Great history and provenance on the car with lots of receipts, old MoTs and original purchase and order forms. The mileage shows 23, 101 which we believe to be the true mileage having looked back at the history and old MoTs. The engine runs sweet with that distinguished Rover V8 burble, gearbox is precise, brakes etc are as they should be.
Although not required the car is currently MoTd until November 2022 but will come with a fresh 12-month test.
