2000 W Rover Mini John Cooper LE in Brooklands Green with full Grenadine red leather interior. This is 1 of 300 ever made to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Cooper’s victory in the Formula One World Championships. They were only made in non metallic Brooklands Green and had a very special, high quality interior with extended leather to the top dash, door cards, door pockets, steering wheel, gear knob and hand brake handle. They all had an alloy effect dashboard with a Rover branded CD radio as standard. The sports pack kit was standard and 2 additional driving lights fitted to the front. It is understood that along with the mini 40 these where the most expensive standard production minis made. This example has been owned from new by the same couple so is a ‘one owner’ example which is very rare. It has been maintained to a high level and is immaculate in every way. It went through a refurbishment in 2013 but instead of repairing the original body it received a brand new Heritage MPI Body shell. This guarantees a rust free shell which gives the ultimate peace of mind and can be far better than repairing an original rusty body. At todays prices a professionally painted Heritage body shell is around £13000!! It then had a new rear subframe and all items were either new or refurbished. When the body was painted it was properly painted underneath which means that it will last better than the original Rover minis. Since this work was done it has been garaged and only driven around 700 miles on sunny days, due to the owners living most of the time abroad. I have a detailed history file from new supporting the mileage of 52000 miles. I have the original sales invoice and brochure as well as all of the books and past MOT’s. The original hand over paperwork and both sets of keys are also present. It drives very well and is in fantastic condition throughout.
