2001 FERRARI 360 SPIDER - 6 SPEED MANUAL!!!
Regrettably up for sale is my own personal 360 spider. Being in the fortunate position of reguarly buying and selling modern classic cars means I get to drive all sorts of wonderful vehicles all the time but have never kept anything too long as something else always turns up that you enjoy driving just as much . Earlier this year I purchased this car as it represented a fantastic opportunity for someone I thought to buy the cheapest manual car I’ve ever seen, then I started to use it and realised I couldn’t bear to part with it - it’s literally one of the most fun, visceral cars you can buy and far more enjoyable than all of the modern Ferrari’s in my opinion. Sadly now some home renovations including the demolition of the garage means it needs to go!
It comes with an excellent provenance including tool kit, 2 keys, all the manuals and service history from new, it has always been maintained by main dealers (Maranello Concessionaires Egham were the supplying dealer) . Before I purchased it earlier this year it had an extremely thorough inspection and major service by Fosker’s Ferrari Brands Hatch costing nearly £9000; this consisted of a major service including cam belts, 4 new pirelli p zero tyres, new battery, new door handle cables, new spark plugs, service and lubricate engine cover catch’s, new windscreen washer bottle, new indicator relay, replace gearbox oil, new oil and pollen filter, all cam timing checked, both belts and tensioners replaced, braking system flushed with new fluid, adjust washer jets, new lower suspension bushes, fresh coolant , new steering rack boots, lubricate all track rod ends and a new gator fitted also, new clutch divider block, air conditioning repaired, new battery isolator switch, fresh mot.
I spoke to Foskers at length before purchasing the car and they advised that it was an excellent example although would require a new clutch release bearing soon. I took the car to my local Ferrari specialist upon purchase and had a new release bearing aswell as a new clutch and flywheel at the same time, a £4000 job but I thought prudent as I was planning on keeping the car a long time, I also had fresh oil and a Genuine Ferrari filter at the same time . So all in all this is a fantastic example that has benefits from £13000 worth of remedial works that are the biggest items that need addressing on these vehicles.
The condition of this car for a 21 year old vehicle is outstanding, the body is completely panel straight and the Grigio Titanio paintwork is absolutely beautiful. Externally it has a Challenge rear grille and genuine scuderia wing shields. Inside there are two tone bordeaux/ nero daytona electric seats and bordeaux carpets , a beautiful combination. There is also an aftermarket sports exhaust fitted which sounds absolutely incredible.
Mechanically and cosmetically this car is absolutely outstanding, it has been well used and maintained and the gearbox is an absolute joy . All cars have the faults and if I were to be critical I would say you would have the edge of the drivers seat reconnolised and there are clips missing from the front floor mats.
You will genuinely not find a better example without spending considerably more money or buying a less valuable, less engaging f1 gearbox car. I have priced it to sell quickly , happy to look at a sensibly priced part exchange if its something I may like.
