What a chance to own such a rare car !
According to ‘How many left’ in 2022 there were just 5 on sorn and none on the road.
FND930Y was registered on 28 April 1983 by Knibbs (Stratford) Limited to GM Limited, Ashton under Lyne, the car still retains its original dealer fitted rear number plate. Finished in Metallic Gold with matching Tan leatherette interior and riding on correct period alloy road wheels.
The car is in need of some TLC and recommissioning mainly paintwork due to a lot of lacquer peel all over the body. Also the leading edge of the bonnet, door bottoms and the sunroof show signs of corrosion. The interior is all there and in good used condition. The roof lining has no sagging but is just starting to come away at the front edge, as can be seen in the pictures. We have had the car on a ramp and the underneath is very solid as can be seen in the pictures, in fact looking back on the cars MOT history there has never been any mention of corrosion underneath. The cars last MOT expired in January 2021. The car does run and drive although there is a suspension fluid return pipe leak from somewhere so would recommend trailering away, although the suspension appears to be working fine. A great running project for someone and once done, will be sure to turn heads wherever it goes.
We do have the original book pack including the service book with stamps up to 1990 and then again in 2012. We also have a folder full of various invoices for parts and repairs, and past MOT certificates.
