Description
A 43 year old Guzzi is not a new bike but it runs well and everything works - even the annoying indicator buzzer.
Easily presentable enough to be used as is or a respray/ exhaust restoration if you prefer.
46, 000 miles seems genuine. Partial history.
Mechanics:
Engine, gearbox and clutch all good. Starts/ runs nicely.
Delinked brakes, braided hoses. Front brakes work but feel soft.
Wheels - very good.
New battery.
Apart from freshening up the brakes, mechanically nothing needs doing as far as I know.
Cosmetics:
Except as noted, chrome is good, paint is bright, frame is good.
Exhaust headers are usable, look ok, but recommend re-chroming in long term.
Original Lafranconi silencers look good but are patched - again fine for now but need refurb/ replacing in longer term.
Front mudguard is scruffy.
Tank paint is good apart from a couple of blemishes on one side (see photo). These blemishes are in top paint layers only. No rust spots or obvious dents on the tank.
Seat is good.
