An elegant café racer, without the leaks! A 1976 Z650 Kawasaki, completely rebuilt as a café racer. I bought it from the guy who built it, a couple of years ago. It came with a huge file of receipts.
The engine had been rebuilt, and just about everything else was rebuilt or new.
The frame was modified by an ex Harris fabricator to fit the new seat hump. It was then powder coated. The seat and tank are new, and were professionally painted. High end components were used throughout the build, with Italian clip ons, lovely rear sets, cans, bar end mirrors etc. The electrics weren't great, so I had it completely rewired. So, no expense spared or short cuts.
The Z650 produced an extraordinary - for 1976, 64BHP. With triple discs it stops as well.
The numberplate is signwritten to add to the ‘60s vibe. Of course it is tax, MOT and ULEZ exempt. It looks just right, and it rides the same way. It’s a stunning looking café racer, without all the headaches of an old British machine.
