Silhouettes don’t get a lot more appealing in the car world than an Aston Martin coupe and the DB7 is no different, some of the best sculpted lines of all time have been from AM & the DB7 is as smooth, understated and muscular as the very best of them, just without the price tag. A classic colour combination here means that the car really manages to show off its body lines and heritage to its fullest extent. The gorgeous fared in headlamps are the icing on the cake for me, harking back to the S1 E-Types, DB4 GT and the like, simply stunning.
This car is coming from long term AMOC ownership, an active member in the local area that we first met whilst attending an open day at our workshop, the car is known to the club, which should add some prestige and to your knowledge that this is one of the good ones.
Slip into the cabin and the wonderful sporty seats cocoon you, they’re not tight nor hard at all, but supple and soft, due to the care that the car has had in its life. The current owner feeds the leather yearly and it really shows in just how fresh and supple the seats feel, adding to the opulence and comfort that this continent crushing GT car offers you.
Flick the key and press the engine start button to hear the thrum of the V12 kick into action, it isn’t loud or raucous like others, the twin exhausts emitting a buttery smooth note, which clams more once the cold start has disappeared, but not completely – you ‘re still aware that there is nearly 6 litres stretching out in front of you, a nice burble ensues and as you pull away, riding on a huge wave of torque, the car just lets everyone know of its calm and clear cut intentions: comfort, quickly!
With a 0 – 60 time of circa 5 seconds for the manual car, for such a smooth GT car, this is still a very effective drivers’ machine even by today’s standards. With the added extras of parking aids front and rear, heated seats and more, you won’t find yourself missing your modern car one bit! After all, we all know V12s aren’t long for this world and to be able to own a hand built V12 for so little, draped in a body this gorgeous puts these cars as a bit of a bargain in the marketplace right now. A sure-fire investment in years to come.

This car presents very nicely indeed, with great paintwork and the interior has a nice patina, but nothing that requires any TLC, just a car to jump in and enjoy.
Mechanically the car is in good order all round and drives very nicely indeed. The car will come with a new full year’s MOT, an oil service, and even a new windscreen, so it will be as “on the button” as it could get!
