1978 Type 2 2. 0L Deluxe Mircobus LHD. It was imported from California in 2009, 27100 miles but that has gone round the clock.
In 2020 (26100 miles) I had the engine rebuilt, added twin Weber ICT 34 carbs, all tinware powder coated, new coil, plugs, HT leads, oil cooler. Rebuilt bellows thermostat. The 6-rib gearbox was overhauled by Cogbox, all new shift linkage bushes, rear brakes, shocks, CV joints overhauled, new fuel lines & filter, fuel tank vent lines, heat exchangers cleaned. It’s been garaged by myself and the previous owner all year round. It’s a solid bus with no rot.
Faux leather upholstery done on all seats, new carpets and door cards. Fitted tachometer, all wiring tidied and/ or replaced. Passenger front seat is on a swivel plate, also inertia seatbelts both front and rear outboard bench. The bus looks to have mostly original paint, there are a few dents and flat paintwork here and there.
