Classic bronze green sitting on a galvanised chassis and parabolic springs.
This is a very solid Series 3 with extensive service work making
It a reliable daily driver that’s been mechanically gone through.
Over the past few months it has had over £5, 000 spent on a paint refresh as well as the mechanicals including running gear overhaul at JLR Series Land Rover specialist in Cornwall including the following:
Reconditioned gear box including 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear synchro hub, full set of bearings, seals, shims, thrust washers, bronze bush and baulk rings.
Reconditioned transfer box including linkages replaced and new springs to engage 4x4/ 2x4.
New/ recon front prop fitted, new front pinion seal, front springs, new shackle bushes fitted. New diff pan and replacement/ recon rear diff, diff pinion seal.
Full oil service including filters changed and all transmission oils replaced with correct EP90 GL4.
New clutch fitted, new windscreen washer pump, new front door lock mechanisms, new fuel filler cap, new front mats and mud flaps.
Recently powder coated wheels and new starter motor and 4 new Goodyear 750 tyres give it a slightly more chunky purposeful look.
Interior is also decent with the upgraded Deluxe seats and a brand new Exmoor trim hood with side windows on galvanised hood sticks.
Paint refresh to the bodywork including bonnet, front panel, floors, doors, front wings and rear quarters. All are relatively straight and in good order as is the solid bulkhead and rear tub. It’s been painted before so some internal areas/ bulkhead show a slightly lighter shade of bronze green but altogether it is a very presentable and usable example that’s ready to be enjoyed.
A quiet 2. 25 petrol engine that has been mechanically looked after and with the recent service work is now a reliable, easy driving classic Series 3.
