This is precisely the NSX you dream of finding. A UK-supplied, manual transmission, 2-owner example in signature colours with impeccable history.
First registered on August 1st 1995 by John Banks Honda of Bury St. Edmunds and registered N5XRT from the beginning.
Finished in Formula Red, the colour that is synonymous with the NSX, with black leather, in coupé body style with the all-important manual gearbox.
Two enthusiast owners from new. The first being a Mr R Taylor from Stowmarket (hence the number plate), who kept the car until 2019, when it was sold to the second and last owner.
The service history is flawless with 22 recorded services from new. All of which are with Honda, apart from the service in 2020, which was with an NSX specialist.
There is a substantial folder of paperwork, supporting the history, with every single bill from new, starting with the first service in 1996 all the way to the most recent service in March 2023 at 76, 115 miles with Honda of Hendon.
The original bill of sale is present. All books and manuals and spare keys. HPI clear with certificate.
Quite simply, a better provenance could not be found.
Given the care and attention lavished on this NSX, it is no surprise that its condition is quite exceptional and highly original. The Formula Red paintwork is beautiful and you will note from the photographs (more on our website) that all original decals remain in place in the front compartment and door shuts.
The black leather interior is entirely original and in beautiful condition throughout. The wheels are unmarked and wear premium tyres all round.
The original NSX was a landmark car, proving that the engineering brilliance at Honda could easily match and even surpass the legacy supercar makers of Europe, with a welcome dose of Honda reliability and usability thrown in. All this was wrapped in a strikingly pretty and well-resolved body, that had all the visual drama required to prove its point to Maranello.
While targa roofs and automatic transmissions were available for the NSX buyer new, it is the manual coupé that is sought after as it defines what the NSX was all about. This example with low miles and impeccable history is a collector’s dream.
