1980 Jaguar XJ12 5. 3 in White. Historic vehicle tax class and MOT exempt. Bought by me 11/ 05/ 2020 during Covid. Over the past 3 years, I have rarely driven the car but have spent £10k plus as follows:-
1. Service & new starter motor 19/ 06/ 2020 - £324. 00;
2. 4 New tyres;
3. New battery £159. 00 via the AA recently.
4. Various trims, bits and pieces purchased and fitted by me.
5. £4, 881. 18 spent on mechanics, electrics and aesthetic works 03/ 08/ 21;
6. New brake servo fitted;
7. Body work and re-spray in original white but had the black vinyl roof removed. £6, 000. 00 worth of work.
The car is around 75% 'there' but if I kept it, I would renew some of the interior, including front seats, headliner and new over mats - the carpet is still good. The car has been in storage so it will need to be re-commissioned. Buyer would be advised to have the car picked up on a trailer. When I purchased the car, it came with an MOT but I am not sure how it managed it! The recent body works and the removal of the black vinyl hood has made the car really stand out. It needs someone to spend a bit of time and a little money to get it up to a really good standard. Lack of time is forcing me to move it on. I would be happy to listen to offers from the right person. Haynes manual, cover, and a file of historic information comes with the car.
